Jorge M. Pérez is the founder and the Chairman of The Related Group, the nation's leading developer of multi-family residences. In August of 2005, Time magazine named Mr. Pérez one of the top 25 most influential Hispanics in the United States.

Under his direction, The Related Group has redefined South Florida landscape. Since its inception, more than a quarter of a century ago, the firm has developed and/or managed more than 55,000 apartments and condominium residences. The Related Group is one of the largest Hispanic-owned businesses in the United States. In 2006, the company reported sales of more than $1.4 billion; its current portfolio representst assets under development of more than $10.7 billion.

Pérez serves on the board of directors of the Miami Art Museum, and is spearheading the capital campaign for its new Museum Park location in Miami's Bicentennial Park. He chairs the Miami-Dade Cultural Affairs Council and is a member of the University of Miami's Board of Trustees.

He has also received numerous awards for his professional and philanthorpic achievements, including Builder of the Year from Multifamily Executive, Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year, and the Sand In My Shoes Award from the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. Developers & Builders Alliance honored him in 2005 with its most exalted award, the 2006 Community Advancement Award. In Cannes, France, he received The Icon in Real Estate Award of Excellence at MIPIM. And, most recently, he was the recipient of The Urban Land Institute Southeast Florida Lifetime Achievement Award and the National Building Museum's Annual Honor Award for his contribution to architecture and design.

J. Van Rose is the president of Rose & Womble New Homes and Rose&Womble Enterprises, a land development company. He joined the company in 1984 following a career as a naval flight officer in the United States Navy. Van graduated in 1975 from the United States Naval Academy where he also served as an instructor of Navigation Leadership and Management between 1980 and 1984. During that time, he awarded the Navy Commendation Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal and the Humanitarian Service Medal for service in Southeast Asia.

Since joining the real estate industry, Van has created one of the most unique, vertically integrated new-home companies in the United States. His company has grown from 20 people to over 800 in the past 20 years.

Today, in addition to its General Brokerage, Property Management, and New Homes divisions, Rose & Womble Realty includes a sales management company, a training division, a marketing and advertising division, a research company, a mortgage company, title and escrow companies, as well as a legal division and a land planning and engineering company.

Each of these companies were created with a focus on service and cost efficiency to meet every aspect of the building industry for Rose & Womble's clients. Nationally, he has been involved in training more than 100,000 sales people across America through professional speaking engagements as well as consulting with other new-home sales companies. He has participated nationally as a motivational speaker to approximately 250,000 people at companies such as GMAC, Southern Living, and just about every major Sales and Marketing Council in the U.S.
