BEST INTERIOR MERCHANDISING OF A MODEL UNDER 2,000 SQ. FT.
The design challenge for this unique urban boutique high-rise one-bedroom
model began with a 12-week timeline from beginning the design process to
the installation. Careful research was done to ensure all items selected were
available to ship by the deadline. Keeping in mind our single professional female
buyer profile we adapted an “urban glam” style ethic for the unit. Selecting from
the available finishes to the buyers, desert oak wood plank flooring and ivory
walls provided the canvas for the light and airy color palette with blonde, maple
and chrome accents.
Special attention was paid to the scale of the furnishings in the living room
while still allowing for a comfortable sofa and a set of classic contemporary
womb chairs in snow white. With no dining area in this plan, we designed two
bar-height counter pieces into a recessed wall detail featuring a geometric
wallcovering as the backdrop for a multifunctional bar/eat/desk area.
