Purpose of Award:
The NAHB GIA International Home of the Year award recognizes and honors the outstanding achievements and work done by land planners, architects, engineers, designers, builders, and developers that solve a socio-economic challenge, are rooted in sustainability and wellness, and will have positive implications globally.
Description:
The International Home of the Year award is presented by The NAHB Global Opportunities Board. Each year, NAHB GIA recognizes and honors the most cutting-edge, advanced and original products, services, and homes from around the world. This year, the program will honor a winner in a new category— the International Home of the Year. The winner will be announced at The Nationals SM Gala during the International Builders’ Show.
Who Can Submit Applications?
This award is open to all global citizens including land planners, architects, engineers, designers, builders and developers for the best of the year.

- Luxury
- Mixed Use (residential only)
- Submittals to include any or all the following:
- Infrastructure
- Land Planning
- Landscape Architecture
- Civil Engineering
- Architecture
- Interior Design
- Photography
- 3D Modeling
- Videography
“On the Boards” entries are eligible.
Judge/Evaluators:
Applications to be anonymously reviewed by independent panel of judges. Judges may include international land planners, engineers, architects, landscape architects, designers, building science and industry experts.
Presentation:
The NAHB GIA International Home of the Year award will be presented during the Nationals GalaSM held in conjunction with the International Builders’ Show.
