BUILDING INDUSTRY COMMUNITY SPIRIT AWARD

Losani Homes has always prided itself on its relationships with its charity

partners which carry similar goals of not just building houses, but creating

homes. Our continued commitment to providing parks, the conservation of

brownfield sites, and preservation of natural lands can be demonstrated in
each of our communities and will certainly continue to be showcased and

shared with its new homeowners in the upcoming communities. Compounded

with corporate charitable donations and direct contributions, Losani Homes

continuously demonstrates its commitment to being permanent fixtures and a
strong part of the communities we build. Last year, with the assistance of the

Hamilton Community Foundation, the Losani Family Foundation was created to

help support our charitable efforts under one unified front giving efforts across

a variety of sectors, both across Hamilton and most recently globally. The Losani

Family Foundation found the perfect partner in Free The Children, who shares

its commitment to positively impact local and global communities through

meaningful actions that facilitate tangible change in areas that need it most. In

2014, through the adopt a village campaign, Losani Homes directly contributed

to a massive development project in Western Kenya that included building and

sustaining a few crucial pillars of infrastructure which included, but were not

limited to, education, a clean source of water, and housing. Not content to rest on its laurels, in 2015 Losani Homes took it even further as

several Losani family members flew to Ecuador and contributed directly in the construction of a brand new classroom within a village of 200

called Los Rios and a brand new state of the art medical facility in the neighboring village of Modena, a $1.2 million initiative. In June 2016, with
Losani family, senior staff, and the Ecuadorian Government in attendance, an emotional ribbon cutting ceremony took place opening the doors

of the medical facility in Los Rios. The medical facility, named after the founders of Losani Homes Giovanni and Maria Losani, will help service

12,000 people from surrounding villages deep within the Amazon jungle. These small villages located off the Napo River have been forgotten

by most, which is what made this initiative particularly rewarding, not just for those who directly took part, but for all staff and partners to be

associated with such a noble cause. This was a rewarding experience shared amongst family and brought to fruition the corporate vision that
both family and team members share. What’s next? The Losani Family Foundation will be sponsoring a Water Project in Los Rios, Ecuador. This

project will bring clean water to every home in the village. Closer to home, Losani Homes will also be supporting 12 youths in the Hamilton/

Stoney Creek region, providing an opportunity to participate in Take Action Camps. These week long, social-justice-themed summer camps

designed to teach leadership skills offer peer support and instill the self-confidence to follow ones dreams. In addition to this new partnership,
Losani has also continued to maintain our commitment to social responsibility locally. Our commitment is evidenced by:

• Annual Christmas Toy Drives and Turkey Drive BBQs for our building trades and associates where toys are collected for local charities. In
2015, Losani received hundreds of toys and raised over $360,000 with our trades and associates for local food banks;

• Provided a bike, donations and support to assist McMaster student Kyle Chevalier with his ride across Canada to raise funds for the Canadian

Breast Cancer Foundation

• Contributing over $250,000 to the Hamilton Health Sciences MRI unit over a 5-year period;

• Contributor to the Nancy Pelewich/Losani Homes Award given bi-annually to a female business student at Mohawk College;
• Supported the Ride to Conquer Cancer by hosting a pit stop for the 7th year in a row.

• Losani Homes also proudly has a long standing relationship with Sick Kids, and most recently was given a plaque celebrating 20,000 children

fed over the span of 2015.

Losani Homes started as a family company in 1976, and although it has gone through very steady growth over its rich 40-year history, Losani

still maintains a strong family oriented culture across its entire team. This fact enables the company to attract the kinds of partners and team

members that hold similar values which gives us a tremendous competitive advantage from a corporate culture perspective.
